This film is considered the only American film in Luis Buñuel's career. Co-produced by Columbia Pictures and shot in English, its real place should be in the US section. Its original title being The Young One...

Hmmm. I did wonder why it was considered a Mexican film. Luis Buñuel lived and worked in Mexico for several years and made a number of films that are clearly Mexican in language, actors and setting. A Mexican production company made this one and it was filmed in Mexico, but it is in English and is set on a Carolina (United States) island. Columbia Pictures distributed it theatrically but I do not see any information that they actually had anything to do with producing it. Still, it seems much more "U.S." than "Mexico". Moved.
