We try not to be super-strict (guidelines instead of rules) but they've prevented problems when stuff that didn't really belong was posted. On-topic/off-topic used to be whether there was nudity and we moved away from that. We don't care if there's nudity or not but the children must be an important part of the plot, and they must actually be children or at least portray them believably. Nobody's going to believe a woman with wrinkles is a child even if there's no "carpet" below her waist.
Yes, the original ´posting rules´were created by Rich and edited by ghost (btw, were is he? :D :D )... later, when he became side admin. FLM always was a child movies related forum. So Desires´age in this movie is really on the edge. Anyway, the scene where she slaughters her idol is epic. :cool
ghost never returned after the board went down that time. We advertised all over the place where the new site was, and we're findable with the various search engines so I guess he and a lot of the old-timers decided to move on to other things. They're certainly welcome back any time. :D

A truly twisted tale of one girl's obsession with a pop star who calls himself "R". Désirée Nosbusch was 16 when she made this film, initially scheduled for release in 1981. But once she saw the marketing campaign she sued in the German courts to block the release of the uncut version - a suit she eventually lost, and it was released anyway.

She had already appeared nude before this and in the years since Der Fan hit theaters hasn't expressed regret over the role (her career has been long and busy). I think what happened is that someone, her agent at the time perhaps, advised her she would be pigeonholed and not considered for serious roles in the future. In all fairness that does often happen to young actresses who get too raunchy onscreen too soon.

I added English subtitles. Not hardcoded of course. There was a dubbed English dialogue track on the bluray, but I've never been a fan (no pun intended) of those. Much prefer the original language and subs. I included the English dubbed audio as a second track on this file though, so if you really want to turn off the subs and select that one, go ahead.

Bon Appétit everyone!

Thank you Dave!

Beyond the movie itself, I find fascinating the discussion in the old posts about how FLM has changed over time. Apparently ghost was away from here for awhile, and I am glad he eventually returned!
