With Cable modems it can be more difficult, but usually you get a new IP if you switch off the modem for 30 minutes or so. In case of VPN, you might get a new IP when you reconnect, but the IP might be shared with other users who download also. Just turning the wifi off and on won't give you another (public) IP.

I suppose IPv4 is used. IPv6 has different tricks.

Type "what's my ip" in Google to find your current IP address.

BTW, speaking of "A la place du coeur", both 1fichier links are the same file, which in turn is the same as one of the eMule links. Otherwise I'm afraid this is getting off-topic...

I have a cable modem, and I have to wait 30 minutes, wow, that's a long time :o
Or I need a good paid VPN
I know how to check my IP address
But it doesn't do anything. :(

Perhaps there is not by ip but by country, I changed the VPN country does not give anything :(
I can only download two parts, then the time comes up again and I have to wait :(
If you change the country, your IP will definitely be different. 1fichier may then use cookies to still identify you... Or you bypass the VPN when you download.

[Note, I moved this discussion out of the movie thread to Hardware & Software so that it would no longer be off-topic. I did not go through and re-edit all the Subject lines.]

DSL vs Cable! Then I guess I must be DSL*, because that quick change consistently works for me. Half the time I do that, the other half I do the VPN Server switch. THIRTY MINUTES!!!! That is forever!

Alex - if you are absolutely FORCED to wait, by using Jdownloader2 for all the parts at once it will count down the timer and resume the next part automatically without you doing anything more.

EDIT:
*DSL* I had to look that up yet again because I just can not remember tech acronyms. Nope, I am satellite Internet, yet another beast.

I have a free VPN, google browser extension, I change the country and nothing happens

Here is actually this movie with the beautiful actress and blonde Susanne Bormann, which I want to download, but it's not working out yet
It's just that she's one of my favorite actresses

It's probably a fake VPN then ;)

I don't have experience with satellite, but with mobile you also get a different IP each time you connect. When I'm talking about DSL, it's just how it typically works -- it is not fundamental. With Cable modems you may get a new IP quicker when you fiddle with the MAC address

File downloaders work by downloading one file at a time (or a few files). When they finish one they go on to the next. If there is a countdown time, it counts it down in the software and THEN starts downloading the next.

I did not even look at what the heck Nachtgestalten is until after I explored your filecrypt link. Oh joy, I love puzzle Captchas, they challenge my old brain! I already had my Jdownloader software open. I left the filecrypt page on fichier rather than the ddownload option as I don't know what THAT is. Then I clicked the "Click'n Load" button, and it opened a popup in JD2 asking if it should load the external links. I approved it and it loaded all 22 links totalling 10.51Gb. I set it to download all of them. It downloaded the first one and then hit the limit, of course. It is counting down from 1 hour. So I can let it continue counting down and downloading without my doing anything for the next 22 hours. OR after I am done here online at FLM I can go through my VPN Server shenanigans. However, reuploading by another means might not even be much of a help for you. MEGA might work for you better because I think that THEIR download quota is 5gb total instead of one file of any size. But continuing to work on ways to get around the fichier quotas would probably serve you well in the future, because fichier seems to be popular. Maybe another free VPN would give you the IP-changing capability that you need? I myself can not recommend any free VPNs in particular.

And yes, rapidgator and Keep2Share are a f*ing nightmare. I absolutely refuse to attempt those links at all as their "free" option is a scam. At least fichier WORKS in the free option. All of the downloader sites want people to have Premium memberships because that is how they make their living and pay for groceries.
