I don't understand it at all even though I use it. I at least could understand (ALMOST) what I did with changing settings in my "DSL" (what does that mean again? ) router. I can not change any settings with the satellite, it is exactly what it is and I have to take it or leave it. I use my (paid) VPN to get around certain restrictions and get HighID.

Even if Epic(VPN) is used, it will take 2 hours to download one file.
Then it's better to wait for the time, there's no point

I have never used a free VPN, so I can believe you have issues with them because I do not know any different.

I looked up "how do I change my IP address" with an Internet search and top two results do NOT look promising.

I scrolled quickly through:
https://www.wikihow.com/Change-Your-IP- ... -(Windows)
https://www.howtogeek.com/870370/how-to ... p-address/

It looks complicated and likely would not work for you. There is also potential to screw things up if you do it wrong! However, it may be interesting reading for someone with patience and a brain that can learn new tricks. Me, I'm an old dog.

And I have never used a paid VPN, I know it is good, many acquaintances have bought and no problems, downloading is fast, work is not slowed down ;)

Night457 wrote: Tue Oct 01, 2024 1:34 am File downloaders work by downloading one file at a time (or a few files). When they finish one they go on to the next. If there is a countdown time, it counts it down in the software and THEN starts downloading the next.

I did not even look at what the heck Nachtgestalten is until after I explored your filecrypt link. Oh joy, I love puzzle Captchas, they challenge my old brain! I already had my Jdownloader software open. I left the filecrypt page on fichier rather than the ddownload option as I don't know what THAT is. Then I clicked the "Click'n Load" button, and it opened a popup in JD2 asking if it should load the external links. I approved it and it loaded all 22 links totalling 10.51Gb. I set it to download all of them. It downloaded the first one and then hit the limit, of course. It is counting down from 1 hour. So I can let it continue counting down and downloading without my doing anything for the next 22 hours. OR after I am done here online at FLM I can go through my VPN Server shenanigans. However, reuploading by another means might not even be much of a help for you. MEGA might work for you better because I think that THEIR download quota is 5gb total instead of one file of any size. But continuing to work on ways to get around the fichier quotas would probably serve you well in the future, because fichier seems to be popular. Maybe another free VPN would give you the IP-changing capability that you need? I myself can not recommend any free VPNs in particular.

And yes, rapidgator and Keep2Share are a f*ing nightmare. I absolutely refuse to attempt those links at all as their "free" option is a scam. At least fichier WORKS in the free option. All of the downloader sites want people to have Premium memberships because that is how they make their living and pay for groceries.
JD2 also it didn't work , and the time report appeared - 22 hours, almost a day (
For file transfer fichier -, I don't use it, I use either Mega.nz or pixeldrain
In my country you need a VPN without it, no way, as almost half of the sites in my country are blocked

JD2 itself does not speed up downloads or get around quotas. (Unless supposedly if the Premium version is chosen, ha!) It only manages the links so you don't have to open them one at a time in the browser. If you allow it to count down it will indeed take 22 hours. If IP-address changing is possible then the countdown can be sped up. But THANK YOU for your willingness to try something different.

Anyway I decided to try the things I was suggesting, as I had never tried them on 22 files in succession. OMG what a load of CRAP I spewed. I am so sorry! Toggling the WiFi might possibly work once, but it definitely will not work 22 times. Switching VPN Servers does work, at least with a Paid VPN with plenty of Servers. What I ended up doing as an experiment was:

1) load all the links in JD2 and start downloading.
2) let one link download and then it reaches the limit.
3) close JD2.
4) disconnect one Server on my (paid) VPN & connect to another.
5) open JD2 & let it download the next part.
6) Repeat 2-5.

Honestly I do not think a multi-part download on a site with quotas is worth the effort. They CLEARLY want to push users into Premium Memberships.

I have a program similar to JD2 - USDownloader, I downloaded it at one time, as I needed to download files from the file-sharing Turbobit, there is also not download a large file, the download stopped at half, and had to start from the beginning, and this program helped me at that time, just remembered about it

This program also finds all files and starts downloading, but not on all file sharing works

There are multiple software downloaders out there, and I was sure there had to be another one that is free. I have heard of various premium downloaders recommended because they really do things that my free downloader does not. Oh well.

Anyway: Whether JD2 or another program, if it is set up right and downloads the FIRST file and gives a countdown for the next it is still useful. It can simply be on in the background while it is counting down between files and will not starve your bandwidth. Then when the countdown finishes it will download the next part and then start the next countdown. You can close it and shut off your computer, and when you are ready to turn your computer on again you restart JD2 and continue downloading where you left off. It is best to do that during a countdown rather than in the middle of an active download of course. But you can gradually do your downloads over the course of days when your computer is available to be ON. That is almost exactly like Peer-to-Peer sharing with torrents or eMule. With those, I think absolutely nothing of a download taking days. Files with a single slow or heavily-demanded source can take weeks. Some people here claim they have stuck with a file for 6 months before it finally finished! It is just downloading directly from a browser that does not always allow resuming.
