Oh! A remake of this Danish movie only after 2 years? :o

The orignal: [REL] Speak No Evil (2022)

But the trailer doesn't look too bad.

I moved the thread to Forthcoming Releases, because it will be relased next September.

In the hours since I first looked at this thread, IMDB has changed from this being a U.K./U.S. coproduction to it simply being a U.S. production. I changed it in the threadname, although it could change again by release in September. Anyway, this is a remake in a different language: English. This is not unusual with successful "foreign" movies. ("Foreign" of course is different from country to country.) Hollywood does not DUB foreign movies, it REMAKES them! This is a longtime practice. Ingrid Bergman starred in the 1936 Swedish "Intermezzo" and then made her Hollywood debut in the 1939 remake. Or for FLM films, there are the Swedish and Hollywood versions of "Let the Right One In".

So many "Speak No Evil" movies, I was not sure which was the original.

Thank you for your tact and discretion in not giving Spoilers! There are some people who get very annoyed by that sort of thing. Not me, but I have not even seen the original yet...

Yeah, nothing wrong with saying it is "different" and winking! Why even watch it if it is exactly the same?

I don't want to spoiler or ruin surprises for anyone, but I can say that between the original and the remake the story is the same, but some scenes are different, especially the ending. I recommend you in chronological order to watch the original first, the one in Denmark released in 2022, and then watch the Remake, I'm sure you'll be able to understand the differences.

I watched the 2024 movie yesterday. The plot is pretty much the same, but with a completely different ending.

All in all it was well done to my opnion, but of course more "American", especially the ending...

I can recommand it.
