Yes the description is dark, but not a horror movie about a maniac, more like a drama with elements of erotica
Re: [REQ] Endless Night (1972)
The voyeuristic young boy with the compelling gaze is barely present in flashbacks.
I think this is probably OFF TOPIC.
The appeal of the movie seems to be adult psychological horror & sexploitation, not the child.
(Not to be confused with the Hayley Mills movie of the same year, either.)

In this movie is completely one part of the life of a young guy, first watch the movie (not 2-3 minutes)
Here also likewise in the movie, first a part of life with a young girl, and then adults, there are many examples of such movies

Re: [REQ] Endless Night (1972)
From what I remember of the other linked movie, it actually stuck with the young girl for a good time. For this one, I scrolled through the movie back and forth multiple times watching for the occasional flashback scenes of the silent young boy. It did not stick with him long but seemed more interested in the psychologist talking about him. Having an expert droning on about what childhood event made Norman Bates or Mark Lewis or Michael Myers the men they became is not quite child-focused. No one has to watch an entire movie to determine its genre and interest, they only have to do that to determine how well the movie-makers made that type of movie. (The quality of the movie is not what I was looking for.) Anyway, I deleted it. Someone else who is interested can watch it and give their opinion. The download link is fast, with English or German audio. No French, sorry.
