Young orphan Rémi lives with his impoverished adoptive parents on a farm. When money runs out, his father sells Rémi to homeless street performer Vitalis, once a famous opera singer who ended up destitute after a tragic love story.

Around the runtime I found this in German wiki:
The German premiere was broadcast on ARD at Christmas 2004. The 130-minute German version has been shortened by around 50 minutes, resulting in some gaps in logic. Unlike in the original, the character Johanna von Strauberg, played by Veronica Ferres, takes on a central leading role here. The film was released on DVD in March 2010.

Yeah! The torrents are dead. Like aliceclub I would like to have a full DVD, but I happily take Caleyunior's eMule files because they are complete - and sourced. Codecs are DX50/MP3.

Thank you DaveTheBoss! Your version is even better, and still the complete runtime. It is not a DVD-ISO, but at this point I think it is probably the best version we are likely to get. The fichier direct-download link is fast.
