French torrent site. I'm not even sure what the URL is even more, it seems to have gone private too.

It requires a seeding RATIO. That means you have to keep sharing files in order to keep downloading others. Right now it seems that YGG also requires a registration fee of 19.99 EUR. My own sad experience with private torrent sites is that it is impossible to keep a ratio unless you bring new files to the site. Trying to help seed other people's files is not enough. I think I managed to get ONE big file from YGG after a free registration period and then I had to quit. If only I had a BluRay computer drive to rip some of my disks! (Santa?)

Private torrent trackers are not the issue in itself. Numerous of my private trackers have most of their torrents as „free-leech“ so all that is required is you re-seeding the torrents for ~48hours after your download.

Really should have created dozens of accounts to free leech from there when ygg was open & free to the public a for a while.

I might build ratio there again by uploading or re-seeding French films. But I need vpn with forwarded ports for that again..

I got a bluray rip drive for my PC. I found you don't need to buy a $120 chipped custom one. Pretty much the cheapest one on amazon at $60 was fine. But they come with more recent firmwares that actually prevent ripping of films. For the drive I had a forum I found recomended to flash it to a slightly older firmware. Was very simple I recall. Is weird - all the drives are made by the same company it seems and you flash to an older version and they work for ripping.

Why in heaven's name would someone waste money on a computer blu-ray drive in the first place unless they intended to rip the disks?!!? Glad you found a cheap way around the restrictions.

Thanks. Although the key is getting past the cloudflare page. I was able to do it and my account still works, although it's just barely below a ratio of 1 so I guess I'm disabled until I pay (not happening).

Every tracker is different. Some are even ratio-less and let you download as much as you want without penalty. Although, just having a good bonus point system that rewards you for seeding even if no one downloads from you can be enough. FLM and TNT movies tend to be niche/rare films that can generate a good amount of seeding bonuses :D

I've never encountered anything like that. I just use random BluRay drives I selected by reasonable price with good reviews and ripped with MakeMKV. There was only one disc I couldn't rip and it was a homemade BD-R. Later I tried it with a slightly better drive and it ripped fine.

Ironically, it's an occasional DVD that I've struggled with. There's a few that I've had to use the free trial for AnyDVD on as no other app would work.

And to bring things back on topic, here are German subtitles that work well with jezevex's file
Les agneaux.de.srt
