[REL] Demi-tarif (2003) DVD Rip added!
Re: DEMI-TARIF
That message about it being released and limited to 300 copies has been on the Demi Tarif website for over 2 years. I have sent e-mails to the webmaster and the production company and recieved no reply.
Re: DEMI-TARIF
Let me second that. All that info hasn't changed in forever [at least since I first came across it].sprocket wrote:That message about it being released and limited to 300 copies has been on the Demi Tarif website for over 2 years. I've sent 4 emails to date; NONE have been answered.

I'm sorry I don't have any new information to post about when this movie will be available to see again. However, I did some research and came up with snail mail address maybe someone can try. I can read French, but I can't write it worth a damn.

BTW, if you use the Wayback Machine at Archive.org, you can see the website for the film hasn't been updated since December 6th, 2004.

Re: [REL] Demi-tarif (2003) DVD Rip added!
I read in her forum a response to a question someone had asked about the dvd being released. The comment was made 02.01.06 and in badly translated French went like this " is pr?e, only the date is not yet known. The film is not any more diffus?n room. Patience, therefore." Thats babelfish for you!

"The DVD is coming, only the release date is not known. The movie is no longer being shown in theaters. So have some patience."La sortie du <a href="http://demitarif.lefilm.free.fr" target="_blank">DVD du film "Demi-Tarif"</a> est prévue, seulement la date n'est pas encore connue. Le film n'est plus diffusé en salle. Patience, donc.

DEMI-TARIF
(HALF-PRICE)
"Fascinating! Le Besco's free style suggests a teen Cassavetes."
-Michael Wilmington, Chicago Tribune
Three small Parisian siblings are left to fend for themselves in this touching, impressionistic portrait. Whether they're shoplifting food, sneaking into movies, or lying to school counselors, the children's bond is rock-solid, and their resourcefulness proves to be irresistible. This rare attempt to portray children's activities without sentimentality is a real discovery; it clearly deserves the fervent praise that erupted upon its French release. Legendary filmmaker Chris Marker says that we are witness to "a new New Wave of which Demi-Tarif would be the Breathless...something we've never seen before onscreen." This film marks an auspicious debut for its 21-year-old writer/director/editor, Isild le Besco who also happens to be one of France's most sought-after young actresses (Girls Can't Swim, Sade). France, 2004, 35mm, 63 mins. In French with English subtitles.

Re: [REL] Demi-tarif (2003) DVD Rip added!
Has anyone here actually seen Demi-Tarif? Is it really worth the hype and its status as highly sought? Just based on how these things sometimes go, I wouldn't be surprised if it disappoints.

LOL I was wondering the same thing.Has anyone here actually seen Demi-Tarif? Is it really worth the hype and its status as highly sought? Just based on how these things sometimes go, I wouldn't be surprised if it disappoints.
Just how good can this actually be?
