I have a like/hate relationship with that site. I hate the name they use, but it does provide (poor quality most of the time) access to some stuff that isn't available in a lot of other places.

It's a disgrace.

I do like the idea of an identification site, or even a thread here for the films that are of interest to the people here. When I've used RT in the past I've generally got the password via someone who has an appropriate debrid then made a list of the names of films (where such is available) so I can look for the films elsewhere. 9/10 can be found on another site somewhere, many of them here, especially for older stuff, and definitely in better quality.

I can't remember off the top of my head, you can find out by following the link to login/sign up and then click to get the password, it will take you takefile.link where you can see the price.

There are some debrid sites that include takefile but I don't know which ones, I need to ask around and find out.

You need a video capture card. Used to be able to find them on ebay from about $10. They normally have a yellow (video) RCA/phono connector and a left/right audio. They're often USB now, but in the past were PCI cards for the PC. I'm sure google would help you out on these things - but doubt anyone here is capturing from VHS in the last 10+ years!

I digitalized some family vhs tapes 10 years ago. It was indeed a usb/rca/video adapter. I know that some also still own one of those VHS/DVD-recorder devices and it allows them to copy VHS directly to dvd I think.

If I had a vhs that is of most importance I would probably get it done professionally (but even there you need to pick a trustworthy company since if it’s your only /last copy, sketchy companies often easily „loose“ or „damage“ your copy and then make excuses. You need a company that takes the task serious and works very professionally..
