Ghost mentioned deadman's English-language BluRay rip (1080p, 8.59Gb & 23.976fps), but he did not mention his own condensed version (1080p, 2.98Gb & 25fps), with audio options of German, FRENCH, and English:

Check it out!
Too bad for me, I can't remux the two. Due to the differences in FPS between the two versions, the film is not the same length.
Ghost can do anything, and already did. :D

I guess the question is, why does a French company release a bluray in Japan but not at home? If it were any other country I might say because Japan has more of a cultural tolerance for lolita themed material. This is France though. I confess to being at a loss.
Very true. Reminds me also of „A Menina Do Lado“ having been released on LaserDisc only in Japan and no other country received a commercial VHS/DVD release (or I think maybe there was a Brazilian vhs briefly).

Super ! I could only add French subtitles to complete it. But anyone know why there's a minute of emptiness at the end of the movie ? VLC really struggles if we move the cursor around in this part.

Ha, that's funny, I had not noticed. If you select the German audio it continues playing pretty music after the credits, without advancing the time code. The French and English just stop. The German audio is complete and longer than the video.

I was going to finalize the mkv file with French subtitles, and I realize the last lines of the film are out of sync on the French and German tracks ! I'm crying... :(

Anyone noticed it ? :o We're talking about a masterpiece...

Sorry about the sync problems.

I think this was the Hamilton movie where I attempted a sync of English subtitles with it, but noticed problems in some spots. I finally realized that I was going to watch it in English anyway, so it did not matter for me! I don't really want to read when I am looking at girls, I need to pay attention to what's important. And honestly ... I think Hamilton dialog is generally drivel. :o

This is why I learned to never mux in subs with video but instead leave them external. I always end up finding errors on subsequent viewings, so I want them easy to fix.

Walter wrote: Tue Apr 25, 2023 10:25 am A couple years back (don't recall exact date off the top of my head) an author named Walter Mathieu (not the actor of the same name) released a book in France called Le Portrait de Dawn Dunlap, in which he stated that Dawn was born October 28, 1964 - the date IMDB also now lists. I have not seen the book myself but read articles about it in which he was quite adamant that the usual dates of birth given for her - 1962 or 1963 - are wrong. Since the movie was shot in May of 1979 per IMDB, that would make her 14, not 16, if this is true. :cool
The birthyear 1964 that IMDb has is most likely incorrect. Dunlap, after her acting career, married the guru advertiser Sir Frank Lowe, taking the name Lady Dawn Lowe.
There are several photos about that:

In 2007 Frank Lowe and Dawn Dunlap divorced. She (probably for tax reasons) took up residence in Gstaad in Switzerland. There is a document relating to a company that referred to her, which has a birth year of 1961. This type of information is usually reliable.
