Every forum has its own quirks, it takes time to learn them.i know stuff there also still gets dmca‘d from time to time but I haven’t encountered it with your uploads yet so sometimes I just temporarily delete a file on my hdd and get it back later from Usenet.
Most of the movies we share here won't draw a DMCA complaint. If you post a mass marketed film like Avengers Endgame it'll be nuked within days. A movie like this one sticks around indefinitely even when posted in the clear - no encrypted headers and filenames, no passworded rars.
I had a hard drive crash a few years back and did exactly what you say. Recovered files (especially full BDs) from my own Usenet posts. They don't actually have an infinite lifespan but stuff you post there lasts longer than any link on a file sharing website.
