Interesting. I’m usually still sticking to H264 due to device compatibility. My BluRay Player for eXample doesnt support HEVC yet. Plenty of seeders and downloading quickly. 2.33gb. The larger 1080p file seems to have a few seeders as well, just in case that's your thing.![]()

Full BluRay is 33GB. I’ll probably go with 12gb 1080p encodepillowbaker wrote: Tue May 23, 2023 6:39 pm Yeah, the 2.3gb file seems like it'll be plenty good enough for a movie like this. I suspect we're grabbing the same file. Got my bandwidth upload opened on it to help it speed along to ya (though I think you're likely further along than I).
Re: [REL] Fish Tank (2009)
It is true that x265 is generally better quality, or at least same quality in a smaller size, but I also have problems with device compatibility. My blu-ray player can handle the codec fine, but my computer is too old and gives playback problems! This mostly only is an issue for syncing subtitles or taking screenshots. Anyway, I went for the modestly-sized H264 file. I have not rewatched the movie yet from having first seen it over a decade ago, but I jumped through scenes to sync the subtitles. I STILL do not remember the movie. I don't know if this says more about the movie or my memory.

DIRECT-DOWNLOAD LINK: [Code] [Code] English subtitles just might be needed for this one. There are three versions included:
.en for just the dialog;
.en-sdh for full SDH;
.en-with-lyrics for dialog and lyrics, but no SDH.
(I think I managed to get that last one properly edited.) |

I haven’t seen it in more than a decade or so and obviously it stuck in my memory more because I watched it in my teens where each „event“ is just more meaningful (and Fish Tank was one of the independent films I discovered back then through streaming sites when sites like megavideo/putlocker/streamcloud we’re still a thing lol).Night457 wrote: Wed May 24, 2023 4:32 pm It is true that x265 is generally better quality, or at least same quality in a smaller size, but I also have problems with device compatibility. It reminds me a lot of a similar boy related film I’ve watched back then as well: Ken Loach’s „Sweet Sixteen“ (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweet_Sixteen_(2002_film)) which was also about a teenager from a poor family with bad background. Both films made use of a young person that had never acted before.
If you’re interested, I got all kinds of encodes of „fish tank“: 720p/h264/4GB or 1080p/H264/12GB and 8GB. Full dvd images as well.
It was fascinating to me back then to see the career of Michael Fassbinder..guy made blockbusters with X-Men films..but also a film like fish tank. Then again.Elizabeth Olsen did nude scenes with the actor of Marvel‘s Thanos before doing Marvel films

To be fair, I was surprised to see it on FLM as it’s not necessarily a typical childhood film - And the past has shown me that many films with 16-17yo actresses don’t always get as much attention as true Kids films on FLM. (Many films with 17yo actresses aren’t even listed on flm, My understanding is that the rules once were even more strict regarding age of actresses?)
E.g. you won’t find Keira Knightly 17yo nude debut on FLM
Edit: never mind. Keira was 15yo and it’s on flm but not much attention as usual lol viewtopic.php?p=22537#p22537

So she hasn't much screen time?
So she hasn't much screen time?
Re: [REL] Fish Tank (2009)
I‘m fairly certain she’s got maybe 30% screen time or maybe even 15% or less. She plays the main character younger sister at home. It’s 90% Katie Jarvis film.
That’s why I didn’t expect to find it on here as usually many people don’t care about 16-18yo films. (Jarvis could pass as just turned 18yo imho)
Look at this thumbs, she does have screentime but not really OT scenes :
