I dunno for sure on that with FNP... I used it a year or two ago and I managed to burn through my entire quota rather quickly with full disk remuxes that were "free". When the quota was gone because no one was downloading from me by the time that I got to the torrents, I tried another "free" torrent there and it said "Sorry your quota is all used up you can't get it, nyah nyah." I will not fault FNP for whatever policies it chooses, but I could not figure out their definition of "free".

Anyway, I remember their signup was easy and the torrents being very effective, so this looks like a good possibility for those who want such a large file. Thanks for sharing the info citronleaf.

Maybe you got unlucky and freeleech ran out in the middle of your download or there was a glitch.

Many trackers will disable your download privileges if your ratio gets too low. This happened to me at yggTorrent.

Hopefully you participated in the Christmas event and earned some easy bonus points to spend on upload credit.

Freeleech doesn't work there if your ratio is under 0.7 ... maybe that was the problem.

I am certain it was entirely my own doing, there is no denying it! I was greedy for remuxes and they fill up laptop hard drives quickly. I could either delete them after a week of no downloaders or have no drive space for downloading anything from any source. Maintaining myself as a source for no downloaders was just not an option for files that huge! The true way to maintain a good ratio there is NOT by helping to share other people's files, it is by ripping disks and uploading them. That is exactly what a private torrent site should encourage. The public torrent users like me should be happy with the smaller rips. As I still watch many DVDs and do not notice any difference while I am actually engaged in watching a movie, it is silly for ME to insist on a full BluRay Remux. Greedy, I am just greedy!

I have not been back to FNP and I do not remember what bonus points are, or if I could earn them when I can not download anything at all. And oh yeah, yggTorrent... I managed to get ONE torrent there. FNP is actually very generous! I do not want to scare anyone away from trying it as I am sure many people can (continually) use it effectively -- if they are wiser torrenters than I am.

We're getting off topic, but bonus points are a reward for seeding. You earn them based on how many torrents you are seeding, how large those are, how long you've been seeding them, and how few people are seeding them with you. You can exchange those points for rewards like additional upload credit. Basically, if you are seeding enough it wont matter if anyone downloads from you or not, you can just buy upload credit with points.

I advise everyone to log into their trackers in December and January. Their holiday event was pretty generous. I earned over 20 freeleech tokens and enough bonus points for over 500 GB of upload just from logging in during the event. Given how infrequently I use the tracker myself, that's probably enough to make it until next Christmas.

It is named "Peppermint Soda 1977 1080p GBR Blu-ray AVC LPCM 2.0"
Does GBR mean that it is from the Great Britain BluRay rather than the U.S. BluRay? I do not know!

I do not dare to verify if that one Seeder is available and effective because it would count against my quota, and I already have this lovely movie on physical BluRay. I am sorry that I do not have a computer Blu drive to share disks. I would also bet any amount of money that you (deadman) could download it faster via their torrent than I could download it via torrent and reshare it by uploading it to a honking big fichier link! The worst that could happen is that you waste your time signing up for a site that gives you a dead torrent. I hope this helps. Good luck.
