DirtyHippie has some amazing enhancements, but sometimes there is a warped effect. Like when it goes from one scene to another the video warps (moves fast in a strange way) and the transition between camera shots seems unnatural. I guess this is intrinsic to AI and this is the only issue I have found with the AI enhancements of movies.

Maybe I am missing something here, but what is the need for AI enhancements once a movie has been released on 4K UHD?

This is the limitation of the interpolation algorithm.
The main advantage of this version is to increase the frame rate to 60fps, using RIFE like Reynolds mentioned.

I am curious now, too. Pardon the request for further clarification. As it relates to this movie, what are the benefits to watching in 60fps? I think I understand the benefits to it in gaming, but how does it compare in a movie?

Oh hey, it's Charlotte, the little girl that likes spiders

I've never watched any Mad Max movies, would it be weird to dive into this movie without knowing anything about mad max?

I think it is weird that you are Australian and never watched any Mad Max movie! Some respect for your culture, dude! Or is it only the rest of the world that likes them? Sadly, they may be the ONLY Australian movies that some people have seen. Road Warrior is awesome but there is so much more than that.

Sorry I can't answer your question because I have not seen this one. Yet I suspect that all you need to know is that this is a post-apocalyptic tale.

I think this might be an essential in her filmography! You do not have to subject yourself to Mel's old movies to watch this one.

I will also agree with Night on your question. Mad Max does establish some elements of previous lore and some expectations for each movie, but I wouldn't say watching any of the previous movies are necessary to watching and enjoying this one. Fury Road (2015) does introduce most of the Citadel characters, which show up again in Furiosa, but you get to understand them well enough in this film.

If you are not interested in Mad Max types of films, then just watch the first third or so of this one, and you can stop there and be pretty entertained. Heh, this is just my opinion. I enjoyed the snot outta this whole movie, myself!
