Re: [Copy selected links] File name garbled
I just tested. Pasting the second link to eMule worked fine and the filename was *not* garbled. In fact, when I copied the same link out of eMule, I got the first link. So both links are equivalent for my eMule.
IIRC, the "copy selected links" feature copies the posted links unmodified. Thus I believe that the character in question was in the link originally posted and it is not an FLM bug.
If other users have this problem, it would be good to avoid non-ASCII characters in links, which is the case when links are copied from eMule anyway. I just checked that the FirstLoveHelper also converts Müsli to M%C3%BCsli

Maybe the problem is with different browsers, like maybe with Firefox? I do remember the shenanigans we went into to get links working right in both chromium and non-chromium browsers when Chrome declared war on ed2k links. I can certainly imagine that it is still not quite perfect.mimzy wrote:
I am pretty sure that I used "copy selected links" in Chrome when I loaded the series Krempoli into emule, because I did not want to click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click to get all 10. I had the umlaut intact and nothing garbled.
Bug, by any chance were you using Firefox? Or perhaps a different non-Chromium browser? I have not the faintest idea about any possible fix, but that might narrow down the cause.
