Children in Movies: Art or Exploitation?

The website https://sensitivecontent.info reports on more than 12,000 children and teenagers filmed OT in movies, TV shows, documentaries and music videos. We are talking about more than 6,000 scenes in more than 3,500 films with a total duration of more than 120 hours! Most of the scenes look quite innocent. Underage actors and actresses change clothes, take a shower or bath, swim or sunbathe without clothes, go to the toilet, etc. Here are the most famous movies with such scenes.



This website has a good video compilation of almost all world cinema content and the video was just the button but I'm not sure about youtube censors.

Actors ages in SC are mostly false.

For a scene SC reports an act of violence or a sexual content like kissing, but when you watch the movie, you don't see such a thing or see things in dark and nothing is actually shown in that scene. It is another protection method, like body doubles.

In many countries, teenagers above 16+ or 15+ are not "children", so maybe SC should consider removing such contents.

SC is great especially for scene descriptions and related timestamps, but obviously it cannot be considered 100% accurate, as are not many other databases, including IMDb.

Actors ages in SC are mostly false.

On SC the ages that the actors had during a film are based on their birthdates and the filming dates present on IMDb (if this last data is not available, the release date is considered).
It can happen that the birthdate is also not available and in this case there can be an error, but these are rare cases.

Until a few months ago, SC only included movies that contained nudity, now it contains all the sensitive scenes that refer to the keywords present on the site. Scenes in which little is seen or that are performed by body double are also described (but it is specified).

It isn't possible to differentiate between countries. The choice of the SC admin is to include all films that contain sensitive scenes with actors between the ages of 4 and 17. I agree that it is too wide a range, but through their advanced search, one can only find what is of interest.

In that 6000 - it would also include slightly sexual things without nudity, "touched girls chest" (through clothing), and things like bullying, kissing, etc and stuff that is not in anyway risky. Probably a lot are weighted to 17 year olds that starred in some perfectly legal film and would have been considered as adults, 16+ at the time. Especially in more sexual roles. It's only in the last 20 years that adult in film role was movd to being 18. In the past it was 16. The fact that newspapers in Europe and the UK would publish 16y olds topless. The Sun / Daily Sport, etc in the UK had a "page 3" with 16-20y olds - only stopped it about 7 years ago. and under 18s in that and others were definitely in that in the 80s and 90s.
