[REL] Sommerjubel (1986)
Re: [REL] Sommerjubel (1986)
Oh gee, I did not even think about the possibility of "Sooner" subtitles. I have to wonder what exactly all our non-American FLM members would think of the hillbilly English in it. (They probably say: "ALL of you talk like that!") I think that Cloris Leachman would completely bewilder Whisper.
I had already sent a PM to ghost, gushing with excitement. It was too embarrassing to post publicly. I LOVE "A Girl Named Sooner".

Subs would be welcome. Of course.Let me know if you'd like some help "ironing" out the subs for that one!
Unless someone gives me a lesson in hillbilly.

Lol!
When I first ran through the whisper transcriptions for the Kaze movie, deepseek insisted on translating into a somewhat silly sounding rendition of Southern US English, even after my efforts to ask it to stop:
- I know what’s up. Tonight, Gramps’ messenger’s gonna come again, talkin’ ‘bout takin’ me away from Ma.
- So that’s what’s been botherin’ ya? Gramps is just worried ‘bout Ma’s sickness, that’s all. Don’t worry. I ain’t handin’ ya over to nobody.
Yeah, I'll certainly help with subs for Sooner. Ya reckon' I should?

My 'go to' model is usually Proteus, but in this instance I used Artemis as I find it is better optimized for lower-quality source footage. I've played a little with Starlight, but my PC isn't powerful enough to realistically do more than a few seconds. It's due to be upgraded some time in the Autumn though...ghost wrote: Wed Jun 25, 2025 1:15 pm Which AI-model did you use?
BTW: I'm doing A Girl Named Sooner with the Topaz Starlight model right now. The preview looks great!![]()

Subtitles would be welcome. But I'll think about that when the movie is done.Ya reckon' I should?
Atm I'm still in the pogress of upscaling. 60 minues are done so far...

I can run Starlight on my machine. Though I have a RTX 4090 Laptop GPU with 16 GB of VRAM, it's still very slow. I split movies up in several parts of about 15 minutes and let it run over night.
