is there a better quality version of this film than the 700mb one? Given that said DVD rip surely a modern upscaled DVD would be better? Or is it not that good a film for anyone to get?

The American version of "My Father" might have been better if they used an alternate casting choice for the father... Once with Depardieu was enough. Tom Hanks, yeah. Tom Hanks. I would like to see him in that role. That would have been real proof of his acting ability, not that junk he got Oscars for.

Also not sure how believable Depardieu is as the father of girl looking like miss Katherine heigl.

At least in the French version they looked believable as father daughter duo.

I was not even thinking of something that sensible, I just got tired of him in the 1990s. (Tom Hanks too for that matter.)
