So I watched this movie a couple of months ago since it was Streaming for Free on demand here

Am I overthinking this or is this based off the novel "The Turn of the Screw"

Because I was watching this movie for the very first time and while I was watching it, I kept going to myself.. "Wait, I swear I know this movie's story from somewhere"

The Childrens names are different in this movie so that's why I'm confused

They are called Jack and Rose in this movie

In The Turn of the Screw they are named Miles and Flora

There are so many versions of The Turn of the Screw, but I can't remember that this movie followed the story.

But it was too long ago that I watched it.

I think the only version I actually watched was from the early 1960s called The Innocents

The NAMES of the children are absolutely the least important thing about "The Turn of the Screw", it is the basic story that matters. In the version "La Tutora" they are called Ángel and Ema.
