I really have never understood what the motivation it is of pixeldrain and other uploaders to provide their services, because their powerful storage servers and internet connection COSTS MONEY. What exactly do they get out of me? I suspect they are up to something malicious, but my paranoia is too exhausting to maintain for long.
Anyway, their hardware and internet account for the swift download speeds. Compare that to how much time it takes to UPLOAD a file TO pixeldrain. That depends on the individual person's home internet connection, and THAT is the limit on how fast an emule connection will be. Uploading to pixeldrain takes enough time for me now and would have been far too long and impossible on my previous internet service, which had speeds typical for the era in which emule originated. Now some people have available and pay for super-fast internet but I think most do not. Emule will be slower when there is one "normal" home computer source.
