Oh My GOD! If they kill the girl in the movie, I will cry. *-*Moonee wrote: Fri Jul 11, 2025 11:45 pm You know... I hope they don't kill the child in this film
I don't think they will but who knows

Re: [REQ] She Rides Shotgun (2025)
Because audiences generally do not like it. The only problem is, it can take away from the suspense if you know that "THESE" characters will survive. Alfred Hitchcock early in his career BLEW UP A YOUNG BOY CHARACTER in one of his movies. I thought it was hilarious because the boy was so annoying and stupid and DID NOT DO AS HE WAS TOLD. Audiences at the time HATED it (women get all weepy about annoying young boys) and he swore he would never make that mistake again. He just killed off lots of adult women in his films because no one objects to that.
So some moviemakers can kill children in their movies and we can loathe them for it, and it will maintain the suspense for the movies that we do like.
In this great Australian movie, the lovable young girl is killed off along with everyone else on Earth:
But it has a happy ending, from a certain point of view.

Re: [REQ] She Rides Shotgun (2025)
yea, i know people don't like children dying but it has completely taken away my suspense
I've seen so many films that has killing in it and 99.9% of the time, the children in the films survives
Now whenever I watch a horror film for example that includes children, my instinct now is they are gonna survive the movie
Take the movie "No Way Up" for example

The first one helped clarify what types of movies I like. (I did not like that one, and the director is on my shitlist.)
The second one, the scenes you mention I think are supposed to be repugnant. So your not liking them makes sense! Of course there is such a thing as "too much" of something for one's personal tastes, which is entirely my point. I completely respect anyone who knows what they like or do not like and sticks to it! So I have no problem with anyone loathing what I like. I don't like brussels sprouts but others can eat them.

You said it very beautifully. Tastes and colors are indisputable.Night457 wrote: Sat Jul 12, 2025 12:53 am ...

But let's get this straight. Just because a child dies in a movie doesn't mean I won't like it. Of course, if there is a logical death in the movie... Then I can love. For example;

Especially TV series and movies where children are smart and brave. Of course, sometimes it changes depending on my mood. I just don't want the scenes to be over the top.
By the way, I like to share our feelings and thoughts and it is nice not to be misunderstood.
