This is a discussion thread, so discuss. You are still talking about children in movies. I can rename the thread "Lolita Goth" if you want.

I have seen "Kamikaze Girls" and they are definitely too old for FLM.. :P

Na I am not really looking for that, just mentioned because it was the closest thing I could think of in modern films. I honestly don't know any modern setting films that have what I'm looking for, I specifically like the time period too that sort of transition from the old world to modern industrial time setting, but I thought maybe Moonee had something in mind /shrug

edit: But did you like the movie Night457? Just curious. I watched it years ago and remember it being enjoyable

I do not really remember it, only that I watched it. I think that I was disappointed that it was older girls cosplaying.

Another suggestion: "Five Children and It" (1991).

It takes place around 1900 with horse-drawn carriages, period dresses, English accents.

Well I've got to watch that if for no other reason than that weird ass puppet. That's another checkmark in my movie preference box ticked. ✔

What, the Psammead is a puppet? He's not REAL?

I really like him except when he sings, but that is only in the closing credits. I think that is meant to reassure young childen that he is not as scary as he seems.

there's the Bernado Bertalucci film "1900" - It's at least 3 hours long - set in Italy. Think children have modest parts in the film. And it's got quite controversial scenes in it.

La femme de Gilles (2004)

It takes place in the 1930s.

FLM thread: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1868

You are right Moonee, it is French! (From France and some other co-producing countries.) Although Arte is both French and German.

I found the movie using Yandex Reverse image search because for the first time I got the Google image search message
"Results for people are limited'.
Apparently for over a year now Google has been protecting people's privacy by preventing searches on scenes of actors in movies.

Tineye as usual gave absolutely nothing. They used to be so great.

The movie does not seem to be on Arte anymore.

Sully's screenshot is from a bathing scene.

I don't have energy to look for updates for the FLM thread right now because the heat and humidity is already melting my brain today. :icon_cool4 I must think cool thoughts.

I was careful not to show explicit details in the capture, even though it was a theme for 'my favorite bath scene' the angle didn't allow me to see the bathtub.
