Online Video Downloader? Please!
Online Video Downloader? Please!
I tried every app and program but it didn't work. But I'd be happy if it was free.
Is there an app or program you can recommend to me?
Thank you for now. *-*

Re: Online Video Downloader? Please!
If it is free, it will not work in all cases, only in some. I use a variety of tools.
Video DownloadHelper Extension (Chrome & Firefox)
Live Stream Downloader Extension (Chrome & Firefox)
JDownloader2 program (installed on computer)
yt-dlp command-line program (installed on computer)
I am sure others know some other free suggestions... ?
EDIT: I mostly use the installed programs and not the extensions.

What are you trying to download?
I lean on yt-dlp a lot as I find it the most reliable.
However, some sites protect their videos with DRM/encryption and more specialized tools are needed.

yt-dlp should be able to handle it.
There are some vimeo videos that are only allowed to be embedded and as a result are trickier to download. If you run into one of these, then a browser extension might be easier.

There's almost nothing I haven't tried. Unfortunately yt-dlp did not work either. oooofffffffffffffffffff -_-DreamScape wrote: Wed Jul 09, 2025 1:26 amyt-dlp should be able to handle it.

Could you show me that video from that site?
I also use it and it has helped me to release some movies that have been published.Night457 wrote: Tue Jul 08, 2025 10:41 pm If it is free, it will not work in all cases, only in some. I use a variety of tools.
Video DownloadHelper Extension (Chrome & Firefox)
Re: Online Video Downloader? Please!
If yt-dlp failed for me on some webpages, then I use this method.
1. Open firefox
2. Press ctrl + shift + i
3. The bottom bar appears - leave it alone for now
4. Open the link
5. Click the 'network' tab
6. It should output the list - if video already start - or just start the video.
7. Search relevant output such as mp4, wtt etc
8. Select the relevant, locate the link and copy it
It should work at Windows 8.1 or newer - I haven't tested.
9. Open powershell
10. type 'cd Downloads'
11. Type 'wget <insert link here>' and enter

Re: Online Video Downloader? Please!
There's a fix for yt-dlp on vimeo, it's on the nightly release from July 12th (2025.07.12.233122), don't know when the next stable release will be available.Unigami wrote: Wed Jul 09, 2025 1:31 amThere's almost nothing I haven't tried. Re: Online Video Downloader? Please!
I guess I ought to but I did not even know there was a nightly release version of yt-dlp. I have only updated to stable versions by using "yt-dlp -U". Thanks for the heads up, Genardi!
