There are many actors I know who are deaf.
Aryana Engineer -> Orphan - Resident Evil: Retribution - Dreaming of Peggy Lee (She has not continued acting for ten years.)
Millicent Simmonds -> Wonderstruck - A Quiet Place 1,2,3 - Bumblebees ...
Shaylee Mansfield -> Noelle - Feel the Beat - 13 Minutes - The Company You Keep ...
Actually, I'm glad that deaf people are also acting. I always wanted them to give opportunities to such people. *--*
Of all the actresses I mentioned, the one I like the most is Shaylee Mansfield.

Alona Jane Robbins is deaf in real life
So i'm assuming she's also deaf in this movie
Moonee!! Thanks for bringing this movie to our attention, and ghost, as always: Thanks for the links!!! Great teamwork!
Oh, and Moonee; you didn't make an ass outta yourself. You ASSumed correctly; her character is deaf.
The movie is pretty good.. It's a bit of tough watch in that the family's situation is bleak and it's a VERY slow-burn; so you have to watch them struggling through the bleakness.. But don't search out more information on the movie because (as I've found SOO many times:) the less you know, the better. I WILL give you ONE minor 'Spoiler':
Spoiler:
Sometimes what you actually see is unreliable.
The girl DO have a good bit of screen time and they do a great job conveying the tension of their situation..
Alona Jane Robbins: Deaf in real life, maybe hoping to follow in Marlee Matlin's footsteps.. (Hard to find actual pix focused on her from this movie.. )

BUT: Her Instagram page has some cool little clips (might want to wait until AFTER you've seen the movie... Or not.) https://www.instagram.com/alonajanerobbins/
Amiah Miller: Was probably around 18/19 at the time of filming, but she could pass for 16...

If you don't mind the slow build of the first half of the film (focus on the girls ), this movie is well worth your investment of 90 someodd mins..

kev.
With that info I posted, I clicked on her imdb page and it's right there in her bio
That's how i got the deaf info
Otherwise I wouldn't have known until after I watched the movie
I'm not the person that deliberately search up spoilers about a movie or show before I watch it

A minor correction - Millicent Simmonds is not in A Quiet Place 3, it has a completely new cast, just saw it last week, it is a good film though not a FLM film

That movie you watched was A Quiet Place: Day One, right? No. A Quiet Place: Day One (Not the third movie) is a prequel to the series. I'm talking about the sequel that will be released in 2027.

Anyway... Getting back to our topic, I would be happy to see a character played by a deaf girl again.
