[REL] Omaha (2025)
Re: [REL] Omaha (2025)
I'm making subtitles for this movie.
At 08:46 dad is asking his daughter "Are you buckled in yet?". Can anyone understand what she is answering?
Thanks.

Yes, I manage to get it. Thanks. It was probably me. But my name in emule is UnagiNami, right? Thanks again. *--*citronleaf wrote: Sun Aug 17, 2025 10:24 amDid you manage to get it from emule? I think that I saw you there.![]()
Ghost's file for those who need it: [Code]
I've now changed it to "Unigami".
Thank you so much too, Ghost. For movie and subtitles. *--*ghost wrote: Sun Aug 17, 2025 11:52 am I'm making subtitles for this movie.

The first part, but not the two syllables following:ghost wrote: Sun Aug 17, 2025 11:52 am At 08:46 dad is asking his daughter "Are you buckled in yet?". Can anyone understand what she is answering?
"I'm trying to, ***-***"
I think "I'm trying to" is good enough for the meaning.
The emule name was close so I wondered, but I did not want to give away any secrets.

Yes, now that I'm reading it and listen to it again it's obvious. Thank you.I think "I'm trying to" is good enough for the meaning.
The first 33 minutes are done. Now it's getting hard.
I love road movies, and I guess this one's gonna be one of my favourites!

Re: [REL] Omaha (2025)
In cases like that professional subtitlers put
Some dialog is just not meant to be clearly heard.
or(whispering)
SDH standards can be very useful.(indecipherable)
Re: [REL] Omaha (2025)
Again, I want to complain about the incompetence of these film festivals, they sell tickets to audiences but cannot even provide a decent subtitle.
And holy ghost is now working on one person to do what they should do. This is terrible. In any case, we must thank ghost for all the hard work and once again for sharing and spreading these excellent works.

I think I'd like to understand as much as possible what the actors are saying, even just some vague conversations.citronleaf wrote: Sun Aug 17, 2025 3:44 pm SDH standards can be very useful. Some dialog is just not meant to be clearly heard.

SDH:
(vague conversation)
I understand what you mean about what you want, but I think that in movies just as in real life people often talk just to make sounds and not necessarily communicate any meaning beyond emotional content, like a parent murmuring to a child falling asleep.
That said, you are absolutely right: in this day and age subtitles should be available AT LEAST for the hearing impaired. People like me too lazy to learn more than one language do not necessarily need to be catered to, but it is nice.

Very good. I would be glad. I try to follow and upload whenever possible. Because this is how I repay my debt of gratitude to you, even if it is small. I hope. *--*ghost wrote: Sun Aug 17, 2025 2:00 pmGood to know. If I see you in my queue, I'll give you a friend slot in eMule.I've now changed it to "Unigami".
Hahahaha It's okay. At least we even chat on emule. *--*citronleaf wrote: Sun Aug 17, 2025 2:37 pmThe emule name was close so I wondered, but I did not want to give away any secrets.![]()
I will definitely share some of my feelings and thoughts about the movie.
Re: [REL] Omaha (2025)
Here is a quick subtitle:
It may be missing some dialog and not hand proofread, so maybe you guys should wait for ghost's human subtitles.
But it might help anyway.
