Really? Why do I only see the 720p option? Could you provide a screenshot of player menu?

Videos on SBS On Demand (VOD) are currently streamed in 720p, with an average bitrate of 2.5 Mbps.

That makes it even stranger, how do you get Blu-ray quality in SBS-VOD?

SBS does not have it in 1080p. They can stream in 1080p if they want to, but they apparently do not want to.

BluRays are 1080p. Many BluRays are released on torrent. These torrents are often 1080p. I am not sure why DreamScape wanted you to read between the lines like this.
