From today when trying to search em, get "plaese use version 0.47c and enable protocol obscurification to get results from this server (62.241.53.2) - so unless this is a spoof - looks like the moment to upgrade has come !!

i agree get a solid mod you like and stick with it!

Not recommending any particular MOD (I use eMule Plus - it is the only one that works with slow connections like mine ) but I'm not in favour of the policy of not upgrading until the version you are using stops working.

Read the changelog and news on the website of your client of choice regularly.

Occasionally you'll find stuff that is essential. Eg. there was a security hole discovered a few months ago in the gzip module used in most clients.
