Currently using emule I download all my files onto an external hard drive. However, I am getting a new computer, and so would like to transfer my entire emule progress straight onto that computer.
Whilst my downloads are stored on an external hard drive emule itself is on my computer hard-drive and I am unsure how to ensure I can move all my transfers over from one computer to another so that my downloads continue from the point where they are upto
My 2nd question is regarding temporary emule files. Sadly, I have a number of files which will never be complete, but I think I can at least salvage something by watching parts in vlc player. However I am confused as I am downloading lots of files, and in my temp folder they just appear as part 22, part 22met, part22met.bak etc. (presumably once a download is complete they disappear from the temp folder)
Some files automatically open in vlc, whilst others have no file asscotion. I am not sure whether this is becaus e
A.The others don't work
B.They are not complete.
I could go through them one by one, but there are about 200 of them, and so any advice will help me out.
If I downloaded a series containing 8 episodes but only 5 were complete I could obviously watch the first 5 using vlc even though the other 3 were not worth wasting time over. My problem is I am unsure how to split these up into parts, or even check if the parts I have managed to download means I have some complete episodes, or just lots of bits from each episode with none complete.
Also if I cancel a download which has downloaded 700mb of 1gb what happens to the 700mb, do I automatically get the space back, or is that 700mb still stored somewhere? (e.g in temp folder)
Sorry I didn't explain very well, but am a bit confused about what to do
Thanks for any help
