Its gone from mega...cans someone post it again plsalberto_v wrote: Thu Jul 28, 2022 1:44 am Oh my god, what a great day! I've been quietly waiting for years to see this film finally available in 1080 HD, and here it is. This must have aired in Italy on RAI sometime in the last 6 months because I know I checked Uloz when I saw Deadman's ISO post in January (I check Uloz periodically to see if certain titles have been upgraded, this was very high on my list).

No subs and my player indicates the audio track is Italian (a dub?) but the picture quality is excellent, this version is slightly brighter and warmer than the DVD. I've shared it via MEGA so that you don't have to wait 5 hours to download it off Uloz like I did. Enjoy Virginie in a lovely early performance.

Some 1080p alternates --
Nitrual posted a streaming 1080p link: viewtopic.php?p=110716#p110716
And I posted a 1080p pixeldrain link for another version: viewtopic.php?p=121043#p121043

Using Ghost's recomendation of Subtitle edit for audio-to-text. I downloaded a v4+ version Subtitle edit
Instructions for anyone...
You have to do "Video - open video file". You can't do file open or it complains file is too big.
Went "Video - Audio to text (whisper)"
engine: "Purfview's faster Whisper XXL" one.
Choose language = italian (not italian.en)
Downloaded the medium model (1.5gb). Wait a few minutes. Dunno if that's the best one? Maybe the Large would be even better?
Let the PC do the work - took about 10minutes. I do have a Nvidia card in the PC that was about £500 4 years ago. Ignore the fact it said "seconds remaining" said that for half the run time!
NOTES: It made what seems a very watchable subtitle, even in the first scene I just previewed with a few noises it's not missing any lines - I had to do no edits either for timing, it seemd to break the lines really well. A scene near the end missed a subtitle but there was a ships horn blasting at the time. Will try and watch the film tonight!

Hi. Your one with "Rai" in the corner. Thanks for finding it - and should have mentioned it. Watched 10 minutes in and see it's missed only maybe 2 lines so far, and one line stuck around 30 seconds after the person stopped talking. But yeah, it's great to have something!citronleaf wrote: Sat Oct 18, 2025 5:49 pmThank you, I will check this out! Which file version or runtime did you Whisper from?

Re: [REL] Le Voleur d'enfants (1991)
I did try it on "large" mode and it created odd subtitles where there was no audio - false positives and really seemed more confused about when some subtitles should start and stop. During the ships horn it heard a few more words - but it seemed to be not getting the sentence. So the medium one I shared previously was fine for a casual watch.
