Killing Faith

I think the little girl has a great role. Because the plot of the movie seems to revolve around her.

In the summer of 1849, a widowed physician reluctantly agrees to take a recently freed slave and her mysterious Caucasian daughter on a 5-day journey through the bloody West to find a distant town's Faith Healer. The woman believes her daughter is possessed. The doctor believes she simply carries The Sickness. Either way the fact remains that every living thing the girl touches mysteriously dies.

I'm a little worried with that

I hope she does but on IMDb she's credited as "The Girl" aka has no name (unless her name is called The Girl lol) which worries me she won't have much screentime but who knows

I checked. I think it focuses on the little girl in terms of the subject and the screen time can be until the end of the movie. To be honest, I didn't look into it in detail to avoid spoilers. Because I haven't watched it yet. What I am sure of is that the little girl is in a lot of danger next to the black woman...

Edit: As of now, I've seen that the little girl has quite a bit of screen time during the first 15 minutes. I was skeptical when you mentioned it. But now I'm sure. It is certain that the little girl will appear again in the coming minutes. Because there are some scenes in the trailer. :D

I think The Girl is not given a name because it is meant that she be a mysterious character.

Seriously? You liked it that much? (I DID love the opening scene where she pets the horse!! )

I watched this about a month ago when it first appeared on YTS, and thought it was an interesting movie, but felt the girl's role as a child was more of a 'plot device' rather than a flesh and blood character.

She had this power that everyone (living in a nearby town) knew about and feared, but you never really learned anything about the child herself to make her an empathetic person. I didn't really care about her other than knowing I sure as HELL didn't want her touching me! :P I hate that about a child character; not caring about them.

Anyway, the movie was good enough and she had a more substantial role than kids in other movies here at FLM, but she didn't seem like a very good little actress and I wasn't smitten with her so this movie didn't rank high on my 'recommended' scale. Worth a watch, I suppose, for the story but not for her.

Still, thanks Unigami for bringing this to FLM. Other members have already seemed to enjoy it, so it's a welcome addition to our site. :thumbsup
