The film follows four girls—Alma, Erika, Angelika, and Lenka—from different historical periods whose lives are subtly interconnected. Each spends their youth on the same four-sided farmstead in the Altmark region. As they move through their respective presents, traces of the past gradually emerge.

This is definitely a movie I wanna watch. Thanks for bringing it to FLM.

BTW: Your IMDB link was for a different movie. I corrected it.

Found it through on a german site! (Careful about annoying adds and pop-ups)

Interesting how they handled the scene w. Laeni Geiseler (B. 2011) around 02:11:00 - dunno if the cutouts are apart of the film:

- It has Official release on Prime Video on 29th of January 2026 -

Thanks a lot! The quality isn't too bad for an "illegal" version of this movie.

Do you understand German? If not, you might want to wait for subtitles.

Nah (The only language I'm fluent in is English)

I plan to wait (I only ever watch foreign movies without subtitles if subtitles for a movie does not exist and has no plans to exist in the near future)

If a girl is super cute, no subs is not gonna stop me from watching a movie even if I can't understand the movie

That has been my working theory. ;)

Since this is a 2025 movie that is supposed to end up on Prime Video, I expect subtitles to ultimately appear on opensubtitles at the very least.

SPEAKING OF GERMAN: for those who have checked out this video, can anyone who knows the language specify what Germanic language is being spoken in the scenes with hardcoded German subtitles? It surely must be different than the non-subtitled scenes, but my ears are not educated enough to know.

I think this isn't German. I can't understand a single word. But I can't say what language they speak.

OK, I searched.
Originalsprache: Deutsch, Plattdeutsch
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_die_Sonne_schauen
AKA Niederdeutsche AKA Low German

I guess it is really really different except to foreigners like me where it still sounds German. ;)

NOTE: The Wikipedia page gives many plot spoilers, in German.
