Um, wouldn't downloading the file actually help others more than to pause it???

Ahhhh Moonee! Are you sitting all the time in front of your computer waiting for someone to write something to respond after 1 second?

Why pausing a download? It makes no sense. It will continue when the current download is finished.

Nah, I'm just browsing the internet at the moment

Refreshing FLM every now and again (I get a notification everytime someone posts in this thread)

Never pause a download. Why should you? You will download parts from the file from other users who already have dowloaded some parts of the file.
Spoiler:

Well... it's just: I reply to a message and when I refesh the page after 1 second, there's a Moonee answer again.

Moonee, pausing an emule file does NOT cause problems. Just do NOT "Cancel" it, because then you have lost it and have to start from the beginning. Although ghost is right, even if you are downloading another ghost file you can still get parts of it from others (who are HighID). Just don't watch eMule! Load all the files and leave it alone. Go back later to see what is done. Don't bother to pause anything.

Ghost, my having the file will not help anyone who is also LowID to download it from eMule - but they can get it from those with HighID like you. The best I can do is upload it to a direct-download site. Believe it or not I am not in a rush to do that. Those who actually use eMule can get first crack at it.

Actually, what's the difference between stop and cancel anyway?

Stop makes it stop downloading, while Cancel removes it from eMule and deletes any part of it you have so far. The REAL question is what is the difference between Stop and Pause? If Paused long enough it switches to Stop, but I really do not know what that means for eMule.

Subtitles like to hide from many emule clients and seem to wait until last. I downloaded it first!

The srt file still hasn't started downloading

I'll just cancel it and grab your attachment

Just under 15 minutes left and the download should be finished
