Downloading Soft Coded Subs

I don't know if you guys made it clear enough: You have to download the mp4 file (video) or ts file or whatever AND the srt file or vtt file (subtitles). Otherwise you only have downloaded the video without subtitles.

Often Premium software is "better" because it works more consistently with more sites than the free software, and requires less work from the user. The Premium software usually has a Graphical User Interface to easily select options and does not require remembering or looking up Commands to type out in the Command Line like yt-dlp does. I used Internet Download Manager in a trial version years ago and it was fantastic. Yet I use the free software exclusively not because it is "just as good" but because I have to stop myself from spending money willy-nilly. Free software works great but the trade-off is that the user usually has to put work into learning how to use it, and may have to use multiple kinds of software to do all the tasks that one Premium option would.
