Maybe it is just not worth the bother of searching out and deleting little subtitle files, but a video takes up actual space.

If his old file wasn't being shared, why was his sub file still being shared is the mystery here
Because the subtitlles didn't change. Only the movie. That's as simplle at it is. ;)

Wow how quickly this thread has developed. I am flummoxed by Moonee's pixeldrain problem so thank you citronleaf for stepping in. While the timing and text appear the same, I have two files with two different ed2k links matching the posted links for the subtitles. Maybe I am one of those responsible for keeping the "old" mostly identical SRT file alive in emule? (I can think of at least one other FLM member who shall remain unnamed, and has HighID.) I have 1,581 subtitles shared on eMule. There is no reason for me to remove them because they take so little space. I keep all the subtitles in one shared folder, separate from the videos that I swap out when I need space.

So they have 2 different hashes. Strange. I thought I just renamed the file.

I have found it is very easy to "change" a subtitle file when the contents seem to be the same. I am convinced that even changing the name of it (outside of the eMule client) will do it. I suppose there is some program that will do a character-by-character comparison of two text files and highlight the differences, but I have not been obsessed enough to look for one.

All timestamps are shifted by 0.3s. Text is identical.

Dusted off an old hard drive and verified it is the same 720p file using the ed2k link: [Code] (The most significant part of the 1080p version for me is the improved color grading.)
Okay what tf

I just randomly decided to check this link to see if it's still dead and NOW it's working ???

Pixeldrain is very forgiving, and is no longer angry at you. That's all.

My Internet was too slow and it took extra long to push the link halfway around the globe.
*
The link traveled West across the U.S. by plane and then was too superstitiously nervous to cross the International Date Line, so it needed to turn around and head back East and go across the Alantic Ocean and sail around the southern tip of Africa to reach Australia.
