The smaller file seems to be from amazon (acontra sub) its 25fps has the same image as amazon embedded and has acontra mentioned in intro. It's just not the highest bitrate version.

Larger file is 30 fps and doesn't have the acontra intro could be a screen capture of the same though.

I doubt it's a simple screen capture - from my own experience with screen recording software, if you don't match the framerate of the source you get a stuttering mess of a file. This movie may have streamed elsewhere previously. Or it was a digital capture from a premium cable movie channel. That last option seems likely to me, since 30 fps is most commonly seen in TV broadcasts. Streams are usually 24 or 25 fps.

If all you had was a still capture I'd say it could be a promo picture or a screen cap taken from the open matte version which is not the one being offered, but video clips showing a wider view indicate a different source than we've seen previously.

I don't know if this helps or if you already know, but the film was heavily censored before its release. Perhaps the trailer was made before the cuts.

If you have to resort to screen capture to record a video because the video is not accessible the "normal" ways, how does one find out what the framerate of the source is in the first place? Does the screen capture software detect that, or do you just keep recording at different framerates and then pick the best one?

Some programs can tell you the correct framerate and even can auto-detect it. Audials is my choice. it even records only the video stream and no overlays like the play button and that stuff.

I just recorded short segments at different framerates. Only one would play back smoothly with no extraneous duplicate frames.

I haven't done a screen recording in quite some time. My new computer doesn't currently have software installed to do it. But one of the old programs I used captured the output of the graphics card directly, so (like Ghost says) you didn't get play buttons or pointers in the recording. It didn't detect the framerate automatically though. I had to experiment to find it.

Yeah, I knew the movie was censored but didn't realize how much was removed. 26 or 27 separate cuts, including entire extended scenes. Content far more explicit than what we see in the final version. Probably some of the scenes left in were longer originally - including the mirror scene and the sex scene at the end. This is one movie where I'd absolutely love to see a Director's Cut. Manolo Summers was controversial, especially during the Franco years, and apparently it's only been recently that a package of his films was released in HD (this one included). Before that all you could find were VHS recordings of TV broadcasts. Very low quality.

From what I can tell the acontra version probably doesn't offer any new scenes (although I could be wrong) but it's a wider view than the one we've seen already and contains more SC type stuff that was lost due to cropping.

Deadman, I know you're going to call me crazy.. :D . But I carefully compared the mirror scene in the movie already posted here to the trailer posted by Gag and, although the dialogue and movements are identical, I think I see, in addition to the wider view of the trailer, some small differences.
For example, notice the moment when Natuca puts on lipstick. From the photos below (it looks like the same moment to me), you can see that in the trailer her mouth is more open and there are no strands of hair on her left shoulder. Celia's head position is also different.

Is it possible that the trailer shot was a different one that wasn't used in the film?

I've not compared to see. But there's many films where they have scenes in trailers that don't make the final film. Star Wars Rogue One is notorious for showing about 5 scenes in the trailer that weren't in the film at all. Maybe the clip from the trailer is part of a longer take. But then they changed the edit for self-censor / continuity reaosns.

What you say is true, but in this case it's the same scene that appears in the film, with the same dialogue and the same movements. It simply looks like a different take to me (but I'm waiting for opinions from those who have had the patience to compare them).
