I ripped the English subtitles from deadman's 24fps 1080p file and resynced them for daughterr's 2160p file.
I did not do any other editing:

Sir, it's a site called "darkiworld" . Current domain extension is xyz. I found this site because another user here posted links from there (mostly french movies). 1F is the hosting file server they use. Unfortunately yggtorrent has implemented stricter registration policies (mostly premium).

Yeah, I signed up but can't get access to any links. It appears you have to pay for a premium membership.

Could you do one other favor for us? The movie Les Diables (2002) is listed, it might have an HD or 4K version - if you would check and post the links (if they exist) that would be fantastic! I've been looking for an upgrade on that one for years.

Thank you for checking! Without signing up I couldn't proceed to the screen that would tell me whether a true HD version was even available.

The DVD I posted is decent quality. Not spectacular, but decent. You don't need to do an upscale. There are already several to choose from. I suspect the controversy surrounding the director's inappropriate conduct toward young Adele tends to scare studios off from re-releasing Les Diables. We may still see it eventually. But clearly not yet.

Looking at a previous upload - the weird black line visible on the screen from 1h17m30 - 1h18m is why after they shout "CUT" they then say "check the gate" ! Because if they find a stray hair in the camera they will reshoot the scene rather than wait 1-2 days to get the rushes back. Before digital.

I'm guessing they remastered this from the original negative, and that little flaw originated sometime within the last 25 years sitting ... wherever it was sitting. It would be interesting if it occurred at the time of filming and they just said screw it, no one's going to care anyway, let's move on to the next scene. But you're not likely to find any article mentioning a detail as minor as that.

Movies get released with quite a few flaws sometimes. Restoration costs more than remastering and they don't always consider it worth budgeting in. Ben Loke'ah Bat (1982) is one example posted here which was remastered in HD but not given the restoration it so desperately needed (Ghost did for us what the studio should have).

That it's in 2 scenes by the pool makes me think they shot the 2 scenes with the same camera and the same film magazine. Didn't notice it until days later. Didn't bother to reshoot it for some reason. It's not a high budget hollywood film.
