This movie is nuts. I can't believe how evil the Tara character is. It's like an endless montage of her doing terrible shit to Chrissa and that homeless girl. I got weirdly engrossed just hoping something terrible would happen to Tara by the end.
It was actually a pretty decent movie as far as the plot keeping you engaged goes, I got way too invested in this kid's life I started thinking about how I'd get revenge on Tara if I was Chrissa's parent.
I also appreciated that they didn't fully redeem the Tara character. It was more like they reconciled and learned to tolerate each other's existence, which is a more realistic outcome to the situation.
