Torrent Search Sites and WinMX

Hi all

As you can see have been going through the REQs (we should take turns in this task - you can see have had some success), but frustrated because keep searching for torrents and the sites I have seem to concentrate on mainstream crap films. What I am looking for is a torrent search site which maybe has some bias towards foreign movies - I have heard fileheaven, but the page just gives a login prompt - no details of how to join (Rich - I know you use this so maybe pm me about this ?). There may be others someone can share ?

Also been dabbling with the idea of installing WinMX, but is it worthwhile - is there more stuff there than EM and is it easy to search ?

And while we are at it - what is the meaning of life ??

WinMX was my first choice of P2P some 7 years ago, and I still run it.

WinMX works completely differently to eMule, in that you can download an entire film in one go and in most cases in just a few hours.

You can also browse another users complete collection of films and offer to trade with him.

You can join or at least enter a chat channel with specific topics, for example; Classic movies / horror / coming of age etc, and trade/exchange your films within the chat room.

The majority of users on MX are sharing popular cinema rather than the titles we are looking for, hence why I now run eMule 24/7, but there are still users on MX like myself wheeling and dealing with other users with great rare titles.

You should try WinMX because you can get some great titles if you can find a good chat channel to join or meet a regular user to deal with directly.

I love the fact that I can create a really cool looking browse for users to look through, its great way to show off your catch!!!... yes im vain!

WinMX is by far the most sociable P2P you can find, but you still can’t beat eMule for the rare stuff as long as your a patient man

Indeed, so its a good idea with WinMX to join a good channel, although you can multisource downloads on WinMX, and before you choose to download you can select "search for alternatives" to see how many other sources there are for the selected movie anyway.

Without a doubt eMule is the better one for rare titles, but WinMX is incredibly sociable and great for showing off your catch, plus if you join the right chat channels and meet the right clients, its as good as any other P2P if not better.

Yeah it went off air for like 3 days before I new patch was created.

So apart from those few days, its never been gone.

Scan the forum!.. some HOT releases were found on WinMX.
