Yep, it is a hidden gem. It actually got 2 awards nominations. English title is "The Strange Pair". It is definitely a weird movie.

Thank you for a great upscale. I'm genuinely surprised at how good AI upscaling really is. Nobuhiko Ôbayashi is a famous director, so maybe there's a chance this movie will eventually get released on bluray.
