Why don't links copy?

Post by Roman »   0 likes

Is this a technical or business issue? I have told a friend about your site. He is ready to learn emule and download some films. He seems to think that FLM is a business offering samples of films for sale by downloading. I tell him, no, it's a community service that sells hard copy DVDs for those who want the non-techie route.

For some reason he hesitates to join. A few months ago I was able to copy links. Now I am not. I belong to the VHS generation!

Hi

First of all, no one is making any money here.
Its one thing to download copyright material, but making money out of it as well..... that’s a big no no!

The only business here is the business of downloading childhood related films for free.

Sorry but I don’t understand the question about copying links.
If you mean to copy ed2k links, that’s done on a daily bases with no problems.

FLM is a site offering FREE and LEGAL information, no profit is made from this site, and this site does not advocate piracy nor does it encourage/advise the use of the information presented here. So learn more about what a peer-2-peer network is, how it works, how eMule works, what your local laws are regarding the sharing/downloading of files (especially those that if shared/downloaded would break copyright laws) and then make your own choice as to what to do. :wall

The keyword is information. Most of the movies discussed here are so rare I would never have even heard about them elsewhere. Apart from a few of the mainstream movies, my local DVD rental shops have nothing. I'm sure things are better where you live, but I feel it is still a good idea to read a few reviews before you buy. My shelves are full of DVDs I bought by looking at the covers and which turned out to be disappointing. Most of these I have watched only once. :( A few didn't even deserve that. :P

I use this site to find out information for free about the films discussed here. I always prefer whenever possible to buy the original on dvd or vhs if that is all that is available. I don't like ripped dvd quality as it is a compromise. I'm sure many members here share my thoughts and also buy the dvd's. It's not so much a site that advocates piracy more of a promotional tool that is run by it's members to make an informed choice. I have bought dozens of dvd's based solely on information provided by members of this site.

I have to agree with you there.

If I download a movie and really enjoy it, I will purchase the original if I feel its something I really enjoyed.
Not so much films posted here though, as I mostly just scan for the good bits, but I nearly always purchase popular cinematic films I love!

Not to mention that if I didn’t buy any DVD's at all, id feel a real tight git!
