Dowloading files from blocked file hosters

Post by Moonee »   0 likes

No file hoster sites has been blocked in my country yet as far as i know but I'm really curious to know what would happen if you try to download files from blocked file hosters

Lets say for example, Pixeldrain is blocked in my country (It's not, this is just an example) and I try to download the file through jdownloader2 by copying and pasting the pixeldrain link into jdownloader2

Would the download start or would it like come up with an error?

There is more than one way to block a site (e.g. each site can be mandated to block traffic from certain IP ranges or the government can mandate ISPs block traffic to certain destinations, etc). And then there is how well each individual JD2 plugin is coded to handle it.

My advise is that if JD2 starts acting funny, to try loading the file host in your own browser to see what happens.

The simple answer is no. If a hoster is blocked in your country, you need an IP from a different country (VPN).
