I think what ghost is saying is that this is the last REL (ED2K release), which means a full embrace of REQ (DDL release).

Old FLM is based on EMULE (ED2K). This means the end of an era.

But neither ghost nor FLM will disappear, and we will welcome a new era together.

I release a ed2k link and 5 minutes later, ppl are begging for a ddl. And it is getting worse every day. I'm just sick of it.
What sense does a eMule link make, when you post a ddl at the same time? Answer: abolutely nothing. Everyone will pick the ddl and the file can't spread in the ed2k network.

I am completely sympathetic to your disenchantment ghost but I am the wrong person to act as a cheerleader for ANYTHING. I will not attempt to change your mind. However, one comment:

I hate to disagree with you ghost, because you know how much I adore you. Call me a deranged crackhead if you wish but I still download emule links when direct downloads are available in the same post. Admittedly it is true that my LowID "resharing" it does not spread it very far because fewer and fewer emulers have HighID and thus few can get files from me.

I'm still sure that 90% of the ppl will pick the ddl if they have the choice (which is totally understandable).

What's the idea behind eMule? Filesharing. That means that a file should be well spread and have multiple sources, so that users can download at high speed. That isn't psssible if only one or two sources are availabe.

I also use emule. Maintly to download shorts. I have also used it several times to download movies. I know that I also asked pixeldrain link few days ago, but just beacause I want dowland faster.
And I sure many of us more prefer the emule

I just looked into in, beacause I was curious how much Hungarian dialogue there is in it(those is very quiet for some reason)But yeah she don't have much sreentime.
