I guess the subtitles just need to be changed from ANSI to UTF-8.

I always save my subs as UTF-8, and sometimes changing differently encoded subs to UTF-8 will automatically fix the problem. But in this case the MediaInfo for the MKV shows the subs are already UTF-8. Maybe an earlier conversion from a different encode failed to convert the characters correctly. It does not surprise me that DreamScape already noticed and fixed it with external TNT subs. I just did not look. It was easier to do a Spell Check and fix the nonsense results manually, and do my usual automated timing and spacing cleanup. I also adjusted the sync a little.

Normally I don't bother downloading SRT files if internal subs already exists

I have my secret code indicating when the subtitles I attach are the same as the internal ones or not. Not sure if anyone has figured it out yet ;)

I looked last night after my post where I was just guessing and before your post here. I believe I have figured out your secret code and that the ones you posted are the same as the internal ones.
