This made me check IMDB out of curiosity about the error, to see if there was an earlier film festival release from 2007 listed. Nope, the earliest seems to be 2008.

But what REALLY caught my eye was the weighted average rating of 2 out of 10 !!!! 33 out of 40 IMDB reviews (82.5%) only gave it ONE out of ten. OMG I absolutely HAVE to see this one, if so many people HATE it. That pretty much guarantees that there is something worthwhile in it.

Thank you all.

I watched it, I didn't really understand the movie (since I don't speak danish) but the girl was very cute

There's so many movies like that on IMDb.. movies rated very low which I feel should have been much higher

I don't understand Danish either, except for occasional words similar to English. I did not figure out the reasons for the personal conflicts in it, but I don't think the little girl Frederikke understood either.

This is what I got from the minor events and the emotional tone of the short:
Spoiler:

Frederikke's mother and father are divorced. He drops her off at her mother's house because he has things to do for awhile, but her mother does not have time for her either. She keeps telling her daughter to go play and leave her be while she argues with someone on the phone. The mother's skeezy boyfriend stops by, but I don't know what his interest in melted popsicles was. (???) It must have been the papers underneath them. He must be a musician and those are the lyrics for his new song, man! Frederikke loses patience with her mother's moodiness and packs her bags to leave. Mother is emotionally exhausted (from arguing with boyfriend?) and attempts a reconciliation with her daughter, perhaps realizing what the important relationship in her life OUGHT to be. Later, Frederikke's father returns and Frederikke leaves with him.

Yeah, I'm pretty certain the papers were important (Maybe work papers or smth?) and he got pissed off when his papers got ruined
