All the DDLbase links are one single file discovered after working the way through Captchas and doing your best to stay away from the poisonous redirects. An adblocker is a must! Most DDLbase files are full Remuxes: even 4K remuxes of 80 GB. They have fichier, pixeldrain, and Gofile links - and sometimes MEGA. The Gofile links do not stay live for very long, I think 10 days. I downloaded this one from Gofile yesterday, and made my own rip of 3.89 GiB. (About 6 MB/s.) I have not completed my final file with subtitles to my own satisfaction, I simply came to FLM for a break from working on all my downloaded videos! So if someone wants a version even smaller that 13 GB, just wait.

relic, my ~4 GB version will have English subtitles. (German also.)

Moonee, the Germans made it as English-language probably because they wanted a wider audience for this children's film. Much like "The NeverEnding Story". The German-language version of that film is freaking awesome, but it probably would not have been quite so popular worldwide just in German.

I do tend to post sources as soon as I find them, even when that is not the end of the line for me. I have so many movies bookmarked and I do not remember why I bookmarked them so I need to get sources to FLM before my memory fails.

Anyway... I won't watch it.

Are you aware that the film is a remake?

I'll stick to Momo (1986)

There are some films you never ever should make again. This is one of them imho.

Oct 14, 2024 post in Momo (1986) thread
Nasuada wrote: Mon Oct 14, 2024 10:47 pm Momo is one of those rare books who I can read again and again, and it's very interesting that after so long no one has tried to made a remake. The story has so much potential, especially when it comes to the fast pace of our society today or that we are pressured to keep children so that we have even more time to work etc.
It feels like Michael Ende got a glimpse of the future back then.
On closer inspection, however, the movie is a timeless classic and so it's almost a good thing that it hasn't been remade :-)
Today's post in this thead:

ghost - the 1986 version was new to me in 2023, just as it took until 2022 for me to actually watch the entirety of "The Neverending Story". So while I absolutely agree with you in principle - yes, I do have principles ;) - I have to admit that I must have a long history with a film before those principles actually kick in. I generally believe that EVERYTHING SUCKS NOWADAYS but I still end up watching movies when I am dubious about them at the very least. And who am I kidding? I would watch this just for the girl with the brilliant red hair. I don't need a good plot or engaging characters or fine acting or even proper respect for the original source. For ONE viewing, anyway.

anon0403 - thank you for sharing the YTS version! Somehow that escaped my view even though it is at least a few days older than the ddlbase link. I might not have bothered downloading the huge remux if I had seen it first.

As Nasuada wrote: "however, the movie is a timeless classic". I saw the trailer of the remake and thought: Oh no, thank you. They destroyed the vibe of the original. OK, the redhead might be cute, but I couldn't really enjoy her.

I know what you mean, as I have had the same reaction to certain other remakes. (And deleted them from my hard drive in disgust.) I will not attempt to change your mind about this one!

This post is addressed specifically to Relic but it has information for anyone interested.

Thanks in advancs Relic
There will be English SDH subtitles, with a bit of a delay.

The 21.13 GiB Remux I posted and the 13.2 GiB version posted by ghost and the 1.70 GiB YTS posted by anon0403 only have forced English subtitles for the German text on screen. Those subtitles do NOT include the dialog. Relic, I understand the dialog is exactly what you need! Anon0403 did post full Czech subtitles.

With some torrent searching I got a torrent with several languages of SRT subtitles, English included. The English is full SDH. Reviewing it with the movie, it seems that it is a decent translation from the full German SDH subtitle. Honestly I do not believe that you will object too much that it is not a word-for-word match with the actual English dialog spoken.

I want to take the time to properly review the results before I post anything more, so probably Sunday.

EDIT: "tomorrow". I should have known better!
