Louis Malle must have had a long talk with Alexandro Jodorowsky before making this peculiar film about a young woman fleeing from a regiment of soldiers and in the process finding herself on an old farm house populated by an elderly woman, young couple and a group of children, roughly two to twelve years of age. Many strange and surreal things follow, forcing the viewer to question what is real and what is hallucination. Good yet atypical Malle; recommended to those who like it a little strange.
