Re: eMule Help
1. Don't download the emule client from emule. Get it from the website/ home page of the client where you can be sure you're not getting some tampered version. http://emule-project.net for eMule, http://emuleplus.info for eMule Plus, etc. You'll get help there for your settings, etc.
2. You seem to be OK. Do you have a LowID?
3. Depending on the speed of your connection you might need to add a few more files. You need to have several hundred sources total. Then you just wait. Wait long enough and you'll get your turn.

What is a LowID? Also, I downloaded from the first homepage link.
Inasmuch as the Set-Up sticky in this section; https://www.first-loves.com/forums/v ... php?t=2286
Those settings look nothing like the options in the version I downloaded. And unfortunately, the only way to install this program is get it via eMule. lol. which, I cannot even get to work.
Edit: OK, there is activity today. I'll keep you posted.
Re: eMule Help
Unless someone has recommended a specific version of emule, which is only available on emuleemuler wrote:1. Don't download the emule client from emule. Re: eMule Help
Did you check your downloads actually have sources ? If you are downloading anything which shows "last seen complete - never" you could be waiting a long time ! By the colour scheme (I think) blue (dark) is good, and red is very bad (missing parts). You can usually tell how much you will get if you hover over the download, it tells you how many parts available.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Re: eMule Help
Man, I feel like Joe Dirt in relation to eMule here. Looks like my problem is broadband.
Also, I finally d/l the Set-Up guide posted by Rich and installed it. It created a second separate eMule program.

Re: eMule Help
Do this
Change your emule default ports from 4661 (and 4671 if you use KAD) to something like 4665 and 4675, then on your BB router, allow port forwarding in both directions for only these ports and these applications (do for both directions). If you have a personal firewall, allow it all ports TCP (and UDP if you use KAD) both directions - this application ONLY. That should work.

Re: eMule Help
Upload limits look very high - they recommend you have this set to a fraction of downlaod (remember BB upload bandwidth is much lower than download). Recommend you set that to about 24/18Kps.
Other than that looks fine and should work provided you are port forwarding TCP 26121 and UDP 26131 for the EMule application (both directions set but not strictly needed).
What does the log say when you start e-mule ?
