firewalled
I keep getting the firewalled message on eMule.
It usually appears after being connected using KAD after about 12 hours, then the message is gone after I reconnect for another 12 or more hours.
Sometimes I never get the firewalled message, and sometimes I get it all the time.
I used to think firewalled meant that certain programs are blocked from the internet, but of course I now know that not to be true because eMule is uploading and downloading at the same speed, firewalled message or not.
So really im just curious about what the message means rather than getting anything fixed, because as I said “eMule is uploading and downloading at the same speed, firewalled message or not”.
Thanks

Re: firewalled
Check Control Panel> administrative tools> Event Viewer> System for error code 4226. You need to patch tcpip.sys in XP SP2 to increase the limit on number of half open connections from the default 10 to something more reasonable like 50 (200 for a fast connection).
Get the patch from http://www.lvllord.de or use the same patch in XPAntiSpy (under the special menu).

Re: firewalled
Thanks to you both.
I guess im a little dim, nothing made much sense to me.
Anyway, I was just curious about why the firewall message doesn’t affect my up/downloads, as I see them running regardless of the message.
