HD-crash

Post by mongodisco »   0 likes

hi people

my s-ata disc where i kept most of my finished encodes and movies dl'ed from FLM crashed a few days ago... i had quite a few movies that i got off FLM and usenet during summer, but i can't remember all of them. Also my ready to release ebba & didrik series was on that one.. Hope you can help me finding some clues to which movies that was released during summer.

Will take the HD to my local shop tomorrow, hoping they can help restore the data that it contains.

Before doing that - do you have another drive with enough disk space to restore data to ? If so, try this utility :-

http://www.runtime.org/gdb.htm

astalavista.box.sk can probably help with getting it up and running :-)

Good luck dude

Probably do a search between certain dates here to find out what you are missing. Let us know if anything in particular.

sorry to hear that mongodisco, losing a HD sucks as I found out this year when I lost 160gig of stuff from my external drive.
Thankfully only about 20 movies from the drive didn’t get backed up.

As you work out what has been lost, don’t forget to request more sources be shared in the relevant releases if the sources are low or gone.

Also, if you ever use WinMX, I can upload directly to you if I have anything you are missing.

Try HDD Regenerator. You'll need to make a bootable CD or floppy and boot from it. Saved my bacon a couple of times.

Note: this can take several hours. Took 11 hours to fix my 160GB HDD.
